Old Carbon, New Jet Fuels: The Digest’s 2016 Multi-Slide Guide to LanzaTech’s ATJ Jet Fuel Tech
by Jim Lane (Biofuels Digest) LanzaTech’s gas fermentation platform disrupts the current highly centralized global energy system by enabling the regional production of low-cost energy from local wastes and residues, including gases as varied as industrial flue gas, gasified biomass wastes and residues, biogas, and high-CO2 stranded natural gas. The company was originally founded in 2005 in New Zealand.
The proprietary gas-to-liquid platform produces fuels — and can be converted from ethanol to a drop-in jet fuel via an upgrading process.
LanzaTech VP Paul Sechrist gave this illuminating address at ABLC Next 2016 in San Francisco. READ MORE
