by Jim Lane (Biofuels Digest) Aviation has committed to achievingnet-zero emissions by 2050. Aviation accounts for 2-3 % of global carbon emissions – growing to >20% by 2050 if action not taken. Non-CO2 effects have an approximately 3 times higher climate impact than CO2 emissions alone. Accordingly, SAF has been identified as one of the key elements in reducing these emissions and achieving aviation’s climate goals. Today, Neste supplies SAF to almost all of the major airlines in North America and supports business aviation. What’s next for the fabulous Finns?
