Saskatchewan Based Startup NULIFE GreenTech Receives Global Recognition.
(NULIFE GreenTech) NULIFE GreenTech is 1 of only 7 companies selected from over 750 global applicants for Repsol Foundation (Spain) Entrepreneurs Fund, and 1 of 9 for the Canadian Trade Commissioners ClimaTech Accelerator. — – Saskatchewan based startup NULIFE GreenTech (NULIFE) has been selected out of over 750 applicants to participate in Spain’s leading oil and gas company Repsol’s Entrepreneurs Fund’s 10th cohort. The global accelerator program selects startups with innovative projects for the energy industry with a focus on the circular economy, that help contribute to a more sustainable energy transition.
Starting in October 2021, NULIFE will receive non-dilutive funding, business and technical mentorship, market access, and pilot testing. This will accelerate commercialization of NULIFE’s oxygen reduction (HDO-hydrodeoxygenation) catalyst for the renewable fuel industry.
“We would like to thank Repsol for selecting NULIFE to participate in their program. NULIFE is excited to have the opportunity to work with Repsol in our continued development of our 2nd generation catalyst which is designed to improve how we create renewable fuels” Brock Eidem, Co-Founder of NULIFE GreenTech.
NULIFE will also start the CTA ClimaTech Program this summer as 1 of only 9 Canadian companies selected. This elite program, run by the Canadian Trade Commission, is for innovative Canadian technology companies to help with market growth and investment attraction in New York City, San Francisco, Denver, and Boston.
Run by some of the world’s top talent, these accelerators are the springboard for companies looking to accelerate and gain the recognition, knowledge, and attention as they venture into capital raising activities and acquiring the trust of future customers.
Driven by the global mandates developed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the carbon intensities of fuels, the increased regulations implemented by governments create a strong fit for NULIFE’s HDO Catalyst to support the fight against climate change. This has created the ideal environment and timing for NULIFE’s catalyst.
NULIFE is proud to be part of Western Canada’s commitment to growing the technology sector and deliver on its climate change strategy, the investment into innovative technologies and support organizations have been impactful into growing the clean technology sector, such as the Western Canadian based, Foresight Accelerator in which NULIFE graduated from this year “Foresight is pleased to support the growth of innovative cleantech ventures such as NULIFE,” says Stephen Wilson, VP Acceleration with Foresight. “We are delighted, and in no way surprised, to see them advance on the global stage and look forward to seeing their technology help Canada meet climate change goals, particularly emission targets.”
The success and growth of companies like NULIFE will result in increased foreign direct investment and investment attraction opportunities for Western Canada, while creating hundreds of cleantech jobs, leverage the recent renewable fuel facility announcements in Saskatchewan, and will grow the cleantech startup ecosystem.
About NULIFE GreenTech
NULIFE accelerates renewable fuel production to deliver a profitable, low carbon future in a world driven by clean fuel standards and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals to reduce emissions in the global battle to fight climate change.
NULIFE began developing its patented Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) technology in 2016 to create renewable fuel from landfill diverted waste.
NULIFE’s newest clean technology solution is a 2nd generation sustainable catalyst made from landfill diverted waste that effectively removes renewable fuels largest impurity… Oxygen. NULIFE’s renewable catalyst provides an advancement from traditional products as it replaces mined aluminum and does not require the addition of the expensive and dangerous chemical – sulfur. NULIFE’s lower cost, drop-in replacement will deliver more profit and emissions reduction for renewable fuel refiners while improving environmental performance that aligns with ESG goals. READ MORE
