Feedstock Logistics: Demonstration of a Large-Scale Integrated Switchgrass Supply Chain

Genera Energy, a research firm owned by the University of Tennessee, has worked with switchgrass grown on contract farms around their home base of Vonore, Tennessee, where they have recently constructed a state-of-the-art biorefinery facility. Their next step is to construct the Tennessee Biomass Innovation Park, adjacent to their biorefinery, where they will grow different energy crops and improve the standard supply chain efficiencies from field to biorefinery.
