Biofuels Market Insights Survey

by Jim Lane (Biofuels Digest)  This week at ABLC Next, PwC’s Brian Carey, at the outset of the first commercial session of the conference, presented results from an incisive industry survey which looked at confidence, growth, and diversification.

“The concerns?” Carey asked. “We saw government and policy right across the board, but also the survey revealed that financing is becoming a greater concern.

“The most confidence? The long-term success of an array of different technologies — first, biobased chemicals, then other technologies including drop-in biofuels, cellulosic, first gen — algae is last.

“Critical lessons about commercialization? Build the right operating model, plan for multiple scenarios and be prepared, develop R&D and product development capabilities.”  READ MORE
