Asia Pacific: TotalEnergies Marine Fuels Bunkers CMA CGM Containership with Biofuel
by Lesley Bankes-Hughes (Bunkerspot) TotalEnergies Marine Fuels has announced the refuelling of the 4,294 TEU CMA CGM MONTOIR containership in Singapore with a biofuel made of very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) blended with 24% second generation ISCC certified Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester (UCOME).
Total Energies Marine Fuels flagged the bunkering operation as the next step in its ambition ‘to become a key biofuel bunker supplier across strategic bunker hubs by 2030.’ The biofuel supply took placed on 29 July but has just been announced by the company.

This operation follows biofuel bunkering trials that TotalEnergies Marine Fuels has undertaken in Singapore with a COSCO Shipping Lines containership, a vehicle carrier operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and a bulk carrier chartered by NYK Line this year. READ MORE
