Sensenbrenner Extends RFS Debate to Number of Hoses at Gas Stations
by Jack Fitzpatrick (Morning Consult) Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) is concerned that drivers who want to avoid a 15 percent ethanol blend of gasoline won’t be able to, he said in a letter to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy on Tuesday.
Sensenbrenner questioned why it isn’t easier for gas stations to have multiple hoses available, including one specifically designated for those who have an old car that can’t handle an E15 blend.

Sensenbrenner’s letter asks McCarthy if the EPA has found that single-hose dispensers are more affordable for gas stations to operate, how much demands there is for single-hose pumps, and if gas stations would incur greater costs if they were required to have at least one pump dedicated to E10.
