Rapid Advancements in Carbon Dioxide Capture – A Roundtable
(Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator) On March 9, 2021 the Chemical Sciences Roundtable hosted a webinar titled Advances in Chemistry of CO2 Capture. The Chemical Sciences Roundtable is an initiative of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to provide a science-oriented, apolitical forum for discussing chemically related issues and to promote the exchange of information among government, industry, and universities. The March webinar examined the rapid advancement of carbon dioxide (CO2) capture technologies as the urgent need for climate solutions grows. The event speakers reviewed available technologies, explored the chemical and engineering challenges in finding improved capture agents, and described new technologies under development.
