AFCC Conference SAF Workshop
Wednesday, November 20 - SAF Workshop: Necessary actions to promote further effectiveness of the Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Grand Challenge (GC) Roadmap
Hosted and Coordinated by the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI) and the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition (AFCC)
First day of the convening of the next AFCC 4th Annual 2024 Global Biobased Economy Conference & Exhibit, Wednesday – Friday, November 20-22, 2024 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Washington, D.C.
As a producer, developer, manufacturer, airline, airport authority, government representative and trade association, you are welcome to attend the first-of-its-kind one-day workshop, in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to discuss ways in which existing gaps in the SAF Grand Challenge Roadmap and its currently outlined efforts and needs might be addressed. The Roadmap outlines the coordinated, multi-agency approaches that will be undertaken by the federal agencies, with necessary collaboration with the private sector, to support achievements of goals for SAF commercialization that will enable the emissions reduction targets of the Grand Challenge.
This workshop will focus on progress and remaining gaps in the SAF GC roadmap activities and outline processes for stakeholder engagement. The convening will involve determining stakeholder coordinated actions and strategies the private sector might consider to drive objectives outlined in, or missing from, the SAF GC roadmap’s six Action Areas, including: Feedstock Innovation; Conversion Technology Innovation; Building Supply Chains; Policy and Valuation Analysis; Enabling End Use; and Communicating Progress and Building Support. The outcome of the convening will be to acknowledge the gaps in the SAF GC roadmap, prioritize these and create concerted gap-filling strategies which as a group are actionable and deliverable.
Please consider reserving your seat at the table, to participate and assist in the advancement of the SAF GC Roadmap. Registration can be done via the following link, the last ticket option listed is 'SAF Workshop Only Wed Nov 20th'. Registration for, and attendance of this workshop can be accomplished separately, or in conjunction with attendance of the full AFCC event (at varying rates - see details on the site). If you'd like to stay for the entire conference please select a different ticket option. READ MORE SAF Workshop
