National Council for Science and the Environment EnvironMentors Program
(National Council for Science and the Environment) The NCSE EnvironMentors Program provides mentoring, college preparation, and additional opportunities to high school students underrepresented in STEM fields.
EnvironMentors is NCSE’s youth mentoring and college preparation program for underrepresented high school students across the country. With the guidance of individual mentors, EnvironMentors students gain exposure to environmentally-related Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) degrees and careers and enhance their research, critical thinking, and communication skills. Since 1992 the program has paired over 2,000 high school students with mentors through its network of 12 Chapters throughout the country.
The National Fair and Awards Ceremony is EnvironMentors’ penultimate event, with students from all over the country traveling to Washington, DC to present their research and compete for college scholarships. Students get to meet fellow EnvironMentors participants from across the country and explore our Nation’s Capital.
