National Biofuels Action Plan
This plan, published in October 2008, was designed by the Biomass Research and Development Board to help industry achieve aggressive national goals enumerated in the “Twenty in Ten” initiative, the Renewable Fuel Standard of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 and the 2008 Farm Bill and to map how federal agencies can work together to promote the use of bio-based fuels and bio-based products. The board consists of senior decision-makers from the US Departments of Energy, Agriculture, Treasury, Transportation, Interior, Commerce, Defense, and the Environmental Protection Agency and National Science Foundation.
