Iowa Legislature Provides FY 2020 Funds for Blender Pump Program
(Iowa Renewable Fuels Association/Ethanol Producer Magazine) …Iowa legislature funded another year of Iowa’s cost-share blender pump program. The Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program, commonly referred to as the state’s blender pump program, provides cost-share grants to Iowa retailers wishing to upgrade fueling infrastructure to offer E15, E85 and/or biodiesel blends. The program has led to millions of dollars of private economic investment and hundreds of new stations offering biofuels at the pump.
The program’s funding of $3 million for FY2020 was included in HF 765, a bill to fund the Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund. It passed the Senate 36-13 and passed the House late Tuesday night 54-45.
