Cofco Plans to Build Biodiesel Pipeline at MT Rail Terminal

“We are the only soybean crusher and biodiesel producer in the venture (at the Rondonópolis railway pear), and we are launching a distribution innovation: the construction of a pipeline that connects Cofco’s unit to the fuel distributors that are in the pear”, said Carolina Hernandez Tascon, commercial and trading director of grain and oilseeds for the Chinese company in Brazil.
Cofco currently serves customers by transporting biodiesel by truck or rail. As the Rondonópolis industrial railway venture of operator Rumo has fuel distributors as well, Cofco’s pipelines may be one to two kilometers, and therefore not too long, according to the executive. READ MORE
