(Prensa Latina) State Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) will invest over the next five years, 49 million dollars to store alcohol anhydride, essential additive in production of ethanol.
YPFB president, Oscar Barriga, informed the oil company sells at present five million liters of gasoline, of which over 70 percent is produced by the entity.
He commented the government and businesspeople of Santa Cruz started last March 8 the program called 'Bolivia in the era of biofuels' to produce ethanol.
The official told the local media that to develop this project, YPFB will invest in a first stage four million dollars to adapt a plant to store alcohol anhydride and a system to mix for the initial amounts needed.

In this regard, private producers of Santa Cruz asserted they have enough sugar cane plantations for sugar production and the elaboration of ethanol to be distributed to YPFB.
The president of the Federation of Private Entrepreneurs of Santa Cruz, Luis Barbery, explained that with the first delivery of 80 million liters of ethanol, YPFB will produce 800 million liters of gasoline type bio-ethanol RON 92. READ MORE
