The very first World BioEconomy Forum will be held at Ruka on 11–13 September 2018. World BioEconomy Forum will bring together major think tanks, regulators and operators in this famous holiday resort in northeast Finland.
We are delighted to welcome some of the world’s most influential bioeconomy stakeholders, policymakers, researchers and innovators as speakers at World BioEconomy Forum 2018. Program is arranged by well-established Advisory Board (AB) of circular bioeconomy advocators.
The World BioEconomy Forum at Ruka gathering coincides ideally with the EU’s latest bioeconomy strategy update, and will offer an opportunity to discuss its ramifications in depth with relevant experts in several panel sessions – preliminary heading being:
Forests role in mitigating climate change
Evolving value chains based on bio-feedstocks
Circular bioeconomy – minimising losses
In the middle of the forest – tourism and forest industry coexist
World BioEconomy Forum seeks to inspire public and private sector bioeconomy stakeholders to explore innovative ways of harnessing the unique bio-resources of Europe’s northern region in pursuit of a sustainable and economically meaningful northern bioeconomy.
Partners engaging in the forum include industrial operators, forest operators, institutes, regulators as well as media. A round forum exhibition will be arranged.
