US Aims at 30% Penetration of Biomass Carbon in US Transport by 2030: New Federal Report Debut at ABLC 2016
by Jim Lane (Biofuels Digest) In Washington, the Biomass R&D Technical Advisory Committee has recommended “targeting a potential 30% penetration of biomass carbon into the U.S. transportation market by 2030 in a sustainable and cost-effective manner to create jobs, reduce greenhouse gas impacts, and enhance national security,” according to the 2016 Federal Activities Report on the Bioeconomy, which debuted at the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference in Washington DC on Friday.
The Report was prepared to emphasize the significant potential for an even stronger U.S. bioeconomy through the production and use of biofuels, bioproducts, and biopower. READ MORE Download report
