UNICA Forum 2018 — June 18, 2018 — São Paulo, Brazil

2018 will be a vital year for the sugar-energy sector and for the country itself. While key decisions for the future of the sector will be made throughout the year, the elections scheduled for October will be the most important in Brazil’s recent history. For this reason, UNICA decided to dedicate its main event of 2018 to the main candidates for the Presidency of the Republic.

Thirteen pre-candidates, people whose names have been discussed by the media and the public, have already been invited to the UNICA Forum 2018 , with formal letters sent by the UNICA presidency. Other candidates who appear will also be invited. All are being warned that the invitation remains, as long as their applications are consolidated when the event occurs, on June 18 at the Main Theater of the World Trade Center of São Paulo .

All the pre-candidates who participate in the event will receive in advance a document prepared by UNICA, highlighting the main priorities for the Brazilian sugar-energy sector. The same document will also be distributed to the public and the media. At the UNICA Forum 2018 , each pre-candidate will have the opportunity to present what he or she intends to do, on the basis of that document, in a 20 minute speech. Subsequently, the pre-candidate participates in a question and answer session.
