Temp Stop Adds Ethanol Blender Pumps under Missouri Pilot Program
(Kansas City Business Journal) A Lee’s Summit gas station has become the second in Missouri to install ethanol blender pumps as part of a pilot program with Missouri Corn and the Missouri Department of Agriculture Division of Weights and Measures.
Temp Stop, at 100 S.E. Todd George Road, now offers three blends of ethanol — E20, E30 and E85 — along with two grades of conventional gasoline, Missouri Corn said in a Wednesday release. …
“With the addition of these blender pumps, consumers can seize the opportunity to utilize a homegrown, renewable fuel,” Bradley Schad, Missouri Corn associate director of ethanol blends, said in a release. “Not only does ethanol burn cleaner than gasoline, it helps reduce our dependence on foreign oil and keeps U.S. dollars here at home.”
Terry Green, CEO of Temp Stop in Lee’s Summit, said in the release that it’s also a way for consumers to join the green movement. READ MORE
