As the biomass industry grows and adapts to new technologies and innovations, qualified supervisors and managers will play an important role in ensuring the profitable operation of facilities well into the future. A Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management degree, available through Bismarck State College, will ensure that future managers and supervisors in the energy industry are ready to meet those demands.
The BAS program is offered entirely online and builds on existing experience and education in the energy field. Courses in the program include general education courses, management courses, and energy management courses. Classes begin every eight weeks, allowing students to complete coursework around a work schedule.
In addition to the BAS, Bismarck State College offers 11 other energy-related degree and certificate programs, including process technology, instrumentation & control, and mechanical maintenance technology. Many of these energy programs can be completed entirely online in two years or less. Individual courses can be taken for professional development purposes. Industry training options are also available.
