Regional Transportation and Climate Listening Session — April 9, 2018 — Albany, NY

Focus on the development of policies and strategies for reducing carbon emissions from the transportation sector.
Participating TCI states have announced a series of stakeholder discussions to promote a safer, cleaner and more reliable transportation future through policies and strategies that will accelerate the deployment of zero-emission vehicles and related infrastructure improvements. The ongoing renewal and modernization of transportation systems in the region affords states the unprecedented opportunity to rebuild in ways that incorporate the adoption of smart transportation and energy policies. Since your organization, community, or industry sector has a considerable interest in the evolution and implementation of these transportation, energy and environmental strategies, your input and insights are invaluable.
Specifically, the participating TCI states are interested in hearing directly from you on the economic and social considerations for deploying clean fuel technologies and other clean transportation strategies; how you or your industry could support and benefit from opportunities to enhance environmental and public health benefits as transportation systems are modernized; how an innovative, low-carbon transportation future may enhance your personal life or otherwise affect your industry’s or community’s economic competitiveness; and what policies and programs should be considered to help advance this vision.
This first regional listening session, hosted by the State of New York, is one of a series of regional meetings that will be convened by the Georgetown Climate Center during 2018, on behalf of participating TCI states.
Space is limited, so we ask you to indicate your interest in attending as soon as possible, and no later than March 23, 2018. In the event of interest beyond our capacity, we will establish a waiting list. Dates and locations for additional regional meetings in other TCI states will be announced soon, so there will be multiple opportunities to join this conversation. READ MORE
