OCI Global and TankMatch Complete Green Methanol Bunkering Op in Rotterdam

(Manifold Times) Both bunkered X-Press Feeders containership “Eco Maestro” with green methanol, supplied by OCI Fuels, using barge “MTS Experience” on 28 July. -- TankMatch on Monday (5 August) said it accomplished a successful green methanol bunker operation with OCI Global in the Port of Rotterdam.

The two firms bunkered containership Eco Maestro using barge MTS Experience on 28 July, according to TankMatch in a social media post.

“This is in collaboration with OCI Global and X-Press Feeders at the ECT delta terminal. The vessel Eco Maestro is X-Press Feeders’ first dual-fuel green methanol-powered vessel,” the firm said.

TankMatch is the pre-eminent service company specialising in the transport and storage of mineral oil products, liquid chemicals and renewable liquid products.

Manifold Times previously reported Singapore-based global maritime container shipping company X-Press Feeders announcing the naming and christening ceremony in Rotterdam of X- Press Feeders’ first dual-fuel methanol-powered vessel Eco Maestro.

Unlocking new capacity for methanol bunkering
Evos is planning to expand its terminal capacity to meet the growing demand for methanol storage and bunkering services. The planned expansion includes five new tanks with a total capacity of 13,500 m³ each, along with a dedicated berth to ensure quick, efficient service. Customers will have the option to store bio-, e-, and grey methanol, with options for co-mingled or segregated storage based on quality and biogenic content. The new berth will accommodate bunker barges up to 135 meters in length, with impressive pumping speeds of up to 750 m³ per hour, offering unmatched speed and flexibility for high-volume customers.
