NOMIS & Science Young Explorer Award Applications Open DEADLINE
(American Association for the Advancement of Science) The award is presented for outstanding research performed by the applicant as described in a 1,000-word essay.
The Grand Prize Winner Receives:
The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a cash prize in the amount of US $15,000, and be provided travel and accommodation to the award ceremony, if applicable. Additionally, the Grand Prize winner is invited to present a proposal for funding* to the NOMIS board, as well as receive a 5 year digital subscription to Science, and have their winning essay publised in Science, in print and online.
Runner(s) Up Receives:
Runner(s) Up will be awarded a cash prize in the amount of US$5,000, and be provided travel and accommodation to the award ceremony, if applicable. Additionally, the Runner(s) Up will receive a 5 year digital subscription to Science, and have their winning essay published in Science online.
*The selected Grand Prize Award winner is automatically eligible to submit a funding proposal on the basis of their essay to NOMIS. All processes, rules and policies related to funding/grants and all obligations related to selection and granting thereof will be the sole responsibility of NOMIS.
Eligibility
Entrants must be younger than thirty-five (35) years of age and must hold an M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. at the time of entry. The award will be granted annually to one young scientist based on work done in the past 3 years. READ MORE
