Hinson Calls for Biofuels Expansion

by Brent Barnett (Brownfield Ag News) US Representative Ashley Hinson is calling on the Biden administration to ramp up domestic oil production and put more emphasis on renewable fuels.

“Ethanol should be front and center in our all of the above energy strategy,” she said. “Expanding the use of homegrown biofuels, rather than asking foreign dictators to produce more oil, will help to reduce the cost of gas while bolstering our national security.”

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield permanent year-round sales of E15 can help the economy. “It provides real savings for people as far as their energy is concerned,” Hinson said. “It would continue to support our Iowa agriculture industry.”
