GESS RNG Biogas USA Announces Acquisition of Projects and Strategic Partnerships
(GESS RNG/CISION) GESS RNG Biogas USA (www.gessrngbiogas.com), a developer of renewable natural gas with over 25 years of international sustainable industry experience, is pleased to announce the acquisition of numerous existing and planned Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production plants from partner GESS International NC. These projects include, but are not limited to, locations in North Carolina, Missouri, Michigan, and Kansas. In addition, GESS RNG Biogas has also acquired 6 existing and 6 new North Carolina RNG pipeline interconnect approvals, for which no expiration date exists.
GESS RNG Biogas USA is also excited to announce the establishment of a partnership with BioWorks Energy (bioworksenergy.com) to provide consulting, and laboratory services. BioWorks Energy is considered one of the United States’ foremost experts in anaerobic digester technology. BioWorks Energy will be working directly with GESS RNG Biogas on newly acquired projects, as well as collaborating on future biogas production facilities. Pursuant to this, GESS RNG Biogas will be relocating its offices to Grand Blanc, Michigan to be closer to BioWorks Energy’s headquarters.
GESS RNG Biogas USA would also like to announce its partnership with sister company Cyclum Renewables LLC (www.gocyclum.com) as preferred RNG provider for Cyclum’s planned network of renewable-fuel truck stops. From Cyclum’s Director of Sales, Drew McGovern, “We are excited for this collaborative partnership with GESS RNG Biogas, as we can support each other in our mission to make renewable fuels sourced from RNG more accessible to the transportation industry.” READ MORE

GESS RNG Biogas announces new projects, manure collection process (Bioenergy Insight)
Excerpt from NGV Journal: GESS RNG Biogas USA LLC announced four renewable natural gas projects across the United States, thanks in part to successful development of a proprietary swine manure collection process that reduces the amount of manure fed into lagoons and significantly increases efficiency. This proprietary new process allows swine manure to be fed into an anaerobic digester.
GESS RNG Biogas will implement this system at two biogas plants in North Carolina. The Union County plant can accept swine manure, poultry litter, food processing byproduct, and agricultural row crops as feedstock. This plant is designed to initially produce up to 200,000 MMBtus of biogas per year, scaling up to 500,000 MMBtus per year. The Bladen County plant will collect swine manure and poultry litter from multiple surrounding farms, with initial production estimates between 160,000 and 200,000 MMBtus of biogas per year, scaling up to 500,000 MMBtus per year.
In addition, GESS RNG Biogas is finalizing two dairy projects. The first, in Grand Rapids, MI, will have 8,000 wet cow equivalent, producing up to 150,000 MMBtus of biogas per year. The second, in Syracuse, KS, will have 16,000 wet cow equivalent, producing up to 300,000 MMBtus of biogas per year.
On all projects, GESS RNG Biogas’s sister company, Cyclum Renewables LLC, will be installing renewable microgrids. These microgrids will allow sites to utilize renewable natural gas trucks, which can be fueled on-site, while also producing each biogas plant’s electricity. These measures will minimize the Carbon Intensity score of each plant, allowing the fuel they produce to be as sustainable as possible. Cyclum has agreed to offtake a certain portion of this biomethane for use in fuel production at its coming renewable fuel truck stops.
“We are proud to pioneer technologies that improve on the shortcomings of older methods, in terms of both efficiency and environmental responsibility. In doing so, GESS RNG Biogas hopes to continue to produce the lowest-carbon biogas possible,” said GESS RNG Biogas USA’s Lathan Welker. READ MORE
