Fund for Environmental Journalism Announces Grant Opportunity DEADLINE: June 15, 2016
(Fund for Environmental Journalism) SEJ’s Fund for Environmental Journalism invests in top quality public service reporting on environment-related issues, and the journalists who produce it. FEJ grants support development and dissemination of significant coverage that otherwise could not be completed.
JUNE 15, 2016 is the DEADLINE for the next round of competition for FEJ grants to journalists and news organizations.Applications will be accepted here beginning APRIL 15, 2016. Grantees will be notified no later than August 10, 2016 and grants paid as soon as possible following agreement on terms of the grant See here for guidelines and requirements for eligibility, application, proposal and budget.
For the June 15 round, one topic category is open for Fund for Environmental Journalism grants up to $5,000. Proposals are invited for journalism projects covering:
“THE POLITICS AND ECONOMICS OF RENEWABLE ENERGY IN THE U.S.”
This opportunity has been made possible by a 2016 grant from The Energy Foundation to the Society of Environmental Journalists.
If your project does not address the designated topic for this round of FEJ competition, please do not apply this time. Your proposal cannot be reviewed or funded. Coverage project grants from the Fund for Environmental Journalism of the Society of Environmental Journalists can be provided only when opportunities are funded in advance through foundation grants and individual donations.
