FLYING Magazine Honors NBAA for Sustainability Leadership
(National Business Aviation Association) … Boatman (Julie Boatman, editor-in-chief of FLYING magazine) noted that NBAA has joined with stakeholder associations, aircraft manufacturers and others to promote initiatives that speed the production, availability and use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) – a safe, ready to use fuel that cuts aviation emissions by up to 80% compared with traditional fuels.
The association is also a founding member of the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, which last year unveiled a commitment to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, as part of a Business Aviation Commitment on Climate Change.
Additionally, NBAA recently launched its Sustainable Flight Department Accreditation Program, which takes a cross-discipline approach to the recognition of sustainability best practices.
