Let’s see what’s on the list
We have: 1) President Obama at the groundbreaking of battery factory, 2) Labor Secretary Solis at a battery factory, 3) Energy Secretary Chu (did you know he won a Noble Prize? The Administration wants you to know) at an electric car component factory, 4) House and Urban Development Secretary Donovan at an electric car recharging station, 5) Deputy Transportation Secretary Porcari at a battery factory, 6) Council on Environmental Quality chairperson Sutley at a battery factory, and 7) White House auto industry liaison Montgomery at an electric car component factory.
See a trend there? But wait, I forgot about Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. I’ll bet he’s visiting a new cellulosic biofuel plant. Oh, never mind. He’s visiting a Richmond, Va company that converts gasoline (made from petroleum) powered vehicles to propane (made from petroleum) power.
I guess my Dad was right. Actions do speak louder than words. Don’t expect any White House support for sustainable, US produced biofuels any time soon. READ MORE
