Conversations about Carbon — 1st and 3rd Wednesdays — ONLINE

Conversations about Carbon is a biweekly series on the first and third Wednesday of each month. We will host a virtual discussion with an expert who will take on key questions about carbon reduction, removal, and repair. The overall goal is to help move research, education, and extension forward on how agriculture can play a role in mitigating climate change.
The series is hosted by ISU Bioeconomy Institute in association with ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

What are the Conversations about Carbon series?
Conversations about Carbon are biweekly virtual webinars. The goal is to bring people together over the lunch hour for an informal discussion on concepts and action surrounding carbon reduction, removal, and repair, and the role agriculture can play as a climate change solution.
The opportunities and challenges of carbon removal are unknown to many people. What are the technical feasibility, cost, and potential unintended consequences of carbon removal? We want to provide you an opportunity to talk with the experts and leaders in this field.
Our goal is to provide science-based information on how we move forward using agriculture to remove carbon from the atmosphere.
Why Attend?
These conversations are meant to be informal and educational lunchtime conversations. Each expert will be interviewed by a faculty member from Iowa State University. Following the interview, we will open up the conversation to participants to ask questions and engage in dialog. Conversations will last no more than 45 minutes, allowing everyone time to finish up their lunch and take a break before their next appointments.
How can you help?
We want to hear from you. We want to interview and engage people you believe are leaders in this space. Submit your ideas here for speakers, topics, and more: https://tinyurl.com/4sx7uf4n
