CALL FOR SPEAKERS: Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture — February 16-18, 2016 — Abu Dhabi, UAE DEADLINE: September 4, 2015

Theme for 2016: Rethinking Global Food Security. Collaborative approaches to sustainable agriculture innovation.
Providing enough safe, nutritious food to a growing population is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. Food and agricultural sectors are central to eradicating hunger and poverty, but current farming practices and climate change are putting pressure on our natural resources.
No organization alone has the ability to solve these challenges, but cooperation across business, politics, academia and civil society is critical to changing systems at scale.
The Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture brings together public decision-makers, private sector champions and civil society leaders who develop and catalyze innovations for sustainable agriculture.
Through cross-sector collaboration, we can bring about a food-secure future.
Innovation is at the heart of GFIA. Each year, 100 speakers are given up to 15 minutes each to show an audience of food producers, technology buyers and investors how their innovation can improve productivity and why it could help shape the future of sustainable farming around the world.
Whether high tech or low tech, at the ideas stage, or part of an ongoing scientific research project, if your innovation has the potential to shape the future of sustainable agriculture, we want to hear from you.
- Share your ideas with 4,500+ attendees from 80+ countries
- 78% of attendees are looking for new innovations
- 20 innovators are selected to present on the Main Stage
- 60 innovators are selected to present in the Innovation Theatre
Speakers selected for the programme have up to 15 minutes to share the details of their innovation (in the style of TED talks), in a way that is inspiring as well as informative – and maybe even a little entertaining! READ MORE and MORE
