CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS: 2017 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo — June 19-21, 2017 — Minneapolis, MN DEADLINE February 24, 2017

BBI International and Ethanol Producer Magazine have announced a call for abstracts for the 33rd annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo (FEW). The FEW is set to take place June 19-21, 2017 at the Minneapolis Convention Center and again will be co-located with the National Advanced Biofuels Conference.
One of the most discussed topics at this year’s event will be the recent U.S. EPA’s rule which set the 2017 renewable volume obligations (RVOs) under the renewable fuel standard (RFS), along with 2018 RVOs for biomass-based diesel. The overall renewable fuel volumes are set to grow by 1.2 billion gallons from 2016 to 2017, a 6 percent increase. The final nested volume for total renewable fuel has been set at 19.28 billion gallons, up from a proposed volume of 18.8 billion gallons.
“With the RVO announcement, the stage is now set for ethanol producers to showcase their tremendous productivity and the vendors that support them will be called upon to do their part,” says Tim Portz, vice president of content and executive editor at BBI International. “The FEW and the National Advanced Biofuels Conference is the perfect platform for the companies that serve biofuels producers to showcase their innovations and win new business from producers looking to increase their profits in this era of expanded production.”
Portz and the conference program committee are looking for speakers and presentation ideas that will showcase the up and coming trends and innovations in the biofuels industry based on four track topics.
Track 1: Production and Operations
Track 2: Leadership and Financial Management
Track 3: Coproducts and Product Diversification
Track 4: Infrastructure and Market Development
Presentation abstracts are being accepted through February 24, 2017 and applicants can click here to learn more and submit.
