Annastacia Palaszczuk US Tour: Premier Touts Queensland’s $1 Billion Biofuels Industry

by Sarah Vogler (Courier-Mail)  Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has launched a new plan to bolster the biomedical sciences industry in Queensland in a bid to create more than 3000 jobs and pour almost $2 billion into the economy.

The Government will start by stumping up $4 million towards initiatives to help build skills and make it easier for the industry to grow.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has made a pitch to US biotechnology companies, urging them to move to Queensland to continue their work.

In a speech to industry in San Diego today, Ms Palaszczuk said the government was in the process of building a $1 billion biofuels industry in Queensland.
