Altfuels Iberia 2019 — June 11-14, 2019 — Madrid, Spain
Efforts to improve air quality and reduce emissions produced by petroleum-based fuels continue throughout Europe. In addition, there is a strategic objective of reducing dependence on oil for all energy uses and applications. All this, as well as the economic and energy security advantages, is encouraging all countries to further adopt alternative fuels for road and marine transport: CNG, LNG, Biogas, Dual Fuel, Hydrogen, Hybrids, express this trend in real life, which is gaining momentum in the Iberian Peninsula, one of the Europe’s fastest growing markets regarding the use of alternative fuels and the related industry.
The Iberian region has a leading position in Europe since it has 42% of the LNG continental storage capacity in regasification plants, distributed in its 6 active plants (the Spanish gas system has 7 of the 23 existing in Europe). Moreover, Spain is one of the European Union countries with the strongest supply security, receiving gas from more than 10 different sources.
In this highly favorable scenario for natural gas and alternative fuels, AltFuels Iberia 2019 will take place on 11-14 June 2019, at the IFEMA Trade Fair Center, in Madrid. The event will feature high-level conferences as well as the exhibition of vehicles, refueling stations, components, plants, road and marine engines, and the entire alternative fuels industry universe showing the latest technological developments, with multiple networking and business options, and new advances.
AltFuels Iberia is organized by AltFuels Communcations Group, an editorial and event organizer with extensive experience in the natural gas sector worldwide, which publishes the newsletter NGVjournal.com, various specialized digital magazines and specific events: from AltFuels Mexico of this year up to 4 biennial events of NGV Global, 6 of NGVA Europe, 3 of NGV Italy and several more in different countries of Latin America. The event also has the support of different national and international associations of the sector, and the special collaboration (as co-organizer in the maritime part) of the Jorge Juan Foundation, responsible for the Madrid LNG & SHIPPING Forum, an international congress for the LNG maritime sector.
