Advanced Biofuels USA Announces Plans to Exhibit and Speak at Congressional Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency EXPO and Forum June 12
by Joanne Ivancic (Advanced Biofuels USA) Advanced Biofuels USA, an internationally respected nonprofit educational organization dedicated to promoting the understanding, development and use of advanced biofuels as an energy security, economic development, military flexibility and climate change/pollution control solution announced it will participate in the 16th Annual Congressional Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency EXPO + Forum on Wednesday, June 12th in Washington, D.C., with an exhibit and speaker.
As Congress, the Administration, the business community, environmental advocates, and American voters search for options to stimulate the economy and “green jobs,” as well as address issues of national security, higher energy costs, increased reliance on energy imports, and the environmental threats associated with energy consumption, Advanced Biofuels USA’s participation with an informational booth and forum speaker will make sure that advanced biofuels will be a part of this discussion. .
Robert E. Kozak, Advanced Biofuels USA founder and board member will focus his remarks, Biofuels: All-of-the-Above Is Not the Solution, on the misconception that the solution to climate change is natural gas or other non-renewable fuels. The only real, effective solution on the fuel side is renewable and it’s time for the public and government to demand a truly sustainable renewable future
The free event, held in the Cannon House Office Building’s Caucus Room will be attended by influential policy makers, government representatives and a host of responsible groups interested in newer energy solutions.
According to Advanced Biofuels USA’s executive director, Joanne Ivancic, “For the third year, we are looking forward to the opportunity to answer questions from legislators and their staff, and from interested general public about sometimes controversial biofuels.”
The event, sponsored by the U.S. Sustainable Energy Coalition, features cooperation among members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Caucuses. This year’s EXPO will bring together nearly fifty sustainable energy industry trade associations, government agencies, businesses, and energy policy research organizations. EXPO programs will showcase the status and near-term potential of several renewable energy options, such as biofuels/biomass, geothermal, hydropower, solar, and wind, as well as energy efficiency technologies including fuel cells, and CHP.
