The 2010 Algae World Survey follows the 2009 Algae World Survey with 139 respondents, conducted in association with the 2nd Algae World Singapore Conference. The Centre for Management Technology makes both surveys reports available at no charge. …“How soon will algal fuels be ready?” Nearly 1/3 of respondents believe their country could displace imported transportation fuels in 10 years with a focus on algal biofuel production. About 36% believe their country could become independent of oil imports in 20 years, and 20% estimated it would take 30 years.
