(National Council for Science and the Environment) The NCSE 2020 Annual Conference: Science in Environmental Decision-Making, held January 6–9, 2020, in Washington, D.C., provided a forum for collaboration and engagement, harnessing collective vision and energy toward what is possible when scientific research is used to develop solutions to “wicked” problems.

Twenty years ago, NCSE hosted its first Annual Conference focused on our core mission—to improve the scientific basis of environmental decision-making. In January 2020, NCSE marked its 30th year as an organization by celebrating and revisiting the mission-oriented theme of our inaugural conference.

NCSE 2020 attendees heard from noted leaders, presented their current research, networked with colleagues, and cultivated a collective vision for the future of society.
