Liz Hare is Executive Director of WISHH. Hare connected with the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) program while working and living in Central America where she executed development programs that had also validated the importance of soy protein for nutrition. WISHH recruited her to lead its programs in Central America and Pakistan before tapping her to take the reins of the organization as executive director in 2018. Prior to joining WISHH, Hare also served as a policy assistant in a U.S. Senate office on Capitol Hill. Hare received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Psychology from Saint Louis University and holds a dual master’s in Development Management and Policy from Georgetown University and the Universidad Nacional de San Martín in Argentina.

Chris Slemp is the Project Director for the Africa Division at the American Soybean Association’s WISHH Program. Prior to ASA/WISHH, Slemp worked as an agriculture extension agent with the U.S. Peace Corps in Ghana. While working with the Peace Corps, Slemp provided extension services to cashew farmers in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. Slemp earned his master’s degree in International Business from St. Louis University in 2019.

Gena Perry is the Project Director, Global Strategy with the American Soybean Association/WISHH Program and started in March 2019. She came to wish after nearly four years with AgriCorps, a non-profit focused on agricultural education in developing countries. Perry served as an AgriCorps Fellow in Koforidua, Ghana where she worked in the 4-H Ghana office helping build capacity for staff and trained 4-H advisors and agriculture science teachers on experiential learning pedagogy. Once stateside, she led the operations of AgriCorps and managed programs in Ghana and Liberia. Prior to joining AgriCorps, Perry worked for OsbornBarr in St. Louis. Perry was first introduced to agriculture through her involvement in the National FFA Organization and went on to get a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agribusiness from the University of Georgia.

Karey Claghorn serves as the Senior Director of Market Development for the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC). In this role, she is responsible for coordinating the efforts in USSEC’s focus areas of Animal and Aqua utilization, Oil and Human utilization with Sustainability being a part of each of those sectors. Prior to joining USSEC, Claghorn served as the Chief Operating Officer for Iowa Soybean Association and served as Iowa’s Deputy Secretary of Agriculture for 6 years prior to moving to the soybean family. Claghorn grew up on a livestock farm near Bloomington, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University.

Rosalind (Roz) Leeck is the Senior Director for Global Market Access at the U.S. Soybean Export Council. She is responsible for worldwide activities monitoring and addressing trade barriers and other market access issues that impact the U.S.’s ability to export soy and soy products. Prior to joining USSEC, Leeck served as the Director of Grain Marketing at the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) and Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA). She has more than 10 years of experience in the grain trade field with previous positions at Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Demeter L.P. She has also worked for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, serving in the Division of Soil Conservation. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, a Master of Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
