10 Years of CNMA: The Congress that Transformed Female Protagonism in Agriculture -- Celebrating a decade of transformations, the event promises to innovate with thematic tracks, strategic debates and news for the sector
The 10th National Congress of Women in Agribusiness (CNMA), which this year will take place on October 22 and 23, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo (SP), completes a decade consolidated as the main meeting point for small, medium and large producers, as well as female leaders in the sector. With the theme "CNMA 10 + 10 | 2025-2035: Women who change the world for the better", the commemorative edition reinforces its commitment to boosting strategic debates, strengthening networking networks and presenting innovations that shape the future of agribusiness.
"The CNMA reaches its 10th anniversary edition celebrating the transformation of women in agribusiness. They have ceased to be supporting actors to become protagonists and accelerators of innovation, shaping the future of the sector. Now, with COP 30 in Brazil and a world in exponential change, it's time to look to the next decade. The theme of this edition of the CNMA reflects the commitment to continuous evolution, connecting the past, present and future of agribusiness in a movement of global impact", emphasizes journalist, professor and speaker José Luiz Tejon, content curator of the CNMA.
Recognized as the largest event of its kind in the world, the CNMA has become mandatory for leaders who want to always be one step ahead towards the future of agribusiness. "In 2024, the Congress recorded the most successful edition in history, reaffirming its position as the main meeting point for agribusiness producers, leaders and decision-makers", highlights the Development and New Business manager of the Transamerica Expo Center, Renata Camargo, manager of the CNMA.
Novelties in the format and thematic tracks guiding the discussions
CNMA 2025 will bring a new format with five stages, one Master Arena and four Knowledge Arenas, with thematic tracks developed to guide the discussions: Plant Health, Animal Protein, Future of Agribusiness and Transformative Leadership. Each track will have a "menu of themes" that will guide the content, ensuring that they are aligned with the demands of the sector and generate strategic insights for the congresswomen. In addition, the structure will allow participants to explore different stages, obtain applicable learning, and expand networking opportunities with those who share the same interests.
One of the highlights of the program will be the "TODAS | Connecting Women", a panel that will be presented at the Master Arena and represents the entire movement started at the CNMA that encourages and brings together groups, nuclei and female leaders in agribusiness to strengthen representation in the sector. Five speakers are already confirmed: the executive director of Canal Rural, Jaqueline Silva, the vice president of the Agro Sowers Commission of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (FAESP), Juliana Farah, the president of the Women's Agribusiness Center (NFA), Maria Antonieta Guazzelli, the president of the Rural Society of Maringá, Maria Iraclézia, and the president of the Rural Women's Committee, Lúcia Bortolozzo.
The main round tables are also reserved for the Master Arena, which will feature strategic themes and bring in-depth debates on the challenges and opportunities of the sector. At the opening of the event, the panel "Brazil, the country that changes the world for the better!" will bring together public sector leaders such as the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil, Carlos Fávaro; the former Minister of Agriculture, Roberto Rodrigues; the senator of Mato Grosso do Sul, Tereza Cristina; the Secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo, Guilherme Piai, in addition to the invitation made to the governor of the State of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas.
Continuing the essential debates for the evolution of Brazilian agribusiness, the theme "Brazilian agro mechanization. From steel to digital" will provide an overview of the technological innovations already underway and the prospects for the future of mechanization in the sector. In the theme "From seed to post-harvest – The disruptive revolution of inputs in the plant sector", the transformations in the genetics of seeds, fertilizers and bioinputs will be presented, which boost productivity and contribute to the fight against climate change. The theme "Animal protein, from genetics to the final consumer - The revolution of perceptions" will discuss the future of animal production, integrating genetics, nutrition, digital management and artificial intelligence to redefine the sector. On the theme "Climate Change and Women" COP 30. From Facts to Communication", the crucial role of women in the fight against climate change and how effective communication can amplify their voices and actions will be addressed. This panel will highlight inspiring stories and innovative strategies to address environmental challenges.
The "My Voice in Agribusiness" campaign will return in the 2025 edition, offering two women the opportunity to take the stage of one of the Knowledge Arenas to share their inspiring stories in agribusiness. Another novelty is the "Your Photo in the Opening Video" campaign, a special way to celebrate the women who are transforming the agribusiness sector and making history at the CNMA.
In addition to the new format and thematic tracks, CNMA 2025 presents new initiatives to enrich the experience of congresswomen. One of them is the 1st edition of Vila CNMA, a space aimed at small producers, promoting visibility for brands and boosting business. The proposal is to create an environment that values each project, offering comfort and practicality to the participants.
Another unprecedented attraction for 2025 will be the Startup Island, aimed at introducing women to the latest technologies for the sector, boosting innovation, promoting new businesses, strengthening competitiveness and accelerating the digital and sustainable transformation of agribusiness.
After the success of its 1st edition, Casa Mulher do Agro returns with talks presented by professionals who will deal with topics such as fashion, self-esteem, well-being, career and gastronomy, in a space of connection, inspiration and exclusive experiences.
The celebration of CNMA's 10th anniversary will also be marked by the launch of the book "From Seed to Legacy: The 10 Years of CNMA", a work that documents the evolution of the congress and its impact on expanding the female presence in the sector.
"The CNMA is a reference for the growth of women's protagonism, as well as the development of the sector in the last decade. The event has established itself as a catalyst for change. More than a learning space, we create an impact network that influences public policies, fosters business, and drives innovations. Celebrating this trajectory is recognizing the fundamental role of women in the advancement of agribusiness", defines Alexandre Marcílio, general director of the Transamerica Expor Center and creator of the CNMA.
