Next Generation Biomass Conversion Short Course and Tour November 11-12, 2013 Philadelphia, PA

Efficient, effective biofuel conversion is the key to future growth of the bioenergy industry. To that end, you are invited to attend the “Business of Biomass – Next Generation Biofuel Conversion” short course on November 11 and 12 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The course is designed to provide an in-depth technical overview for the rapidly increasing number of professionals that need greater familiarity with the field of biofuels production, or that want to expand knowledge beyond their specialty.
The short course brings together leading researchers and biofuels business developers who will provide insights into successful biofuel strategies and future trends. Technology, economics, operations, and policy issues will all be covered, and a business roundtable discussion will focus on practical steps for developing successful industry strategies. Ample networking opportunities and a site tour of nearby biofuels facilities will serve to round out the event.

USDA ARS Research Lab, Wyndmoor – This tour will include the pyrolysis research laboratory facilities as well as the fermentation laboratory at USDA. Equipment capabilities, recent projects, and future plans will be discussed
