Consecrated as the official technical event of the New York Sugar Dinner, since its first edition, the Conference has become traditional on the global sugar and ethanol calendar.
In 2016, gathered more than 400 leaders from 22 countries, in an intense day of lectures and debates with the most renowned specialists of the sugar and ethanol markets in the world. ISO DATAGRO New York Sugar & Ethanol Conference has its 11th edition in 2017. The conference held by the International Sugar Organization (ISO) in partnership with DATAGRO, is highlighted as one of the most important meetings of the sugar-ethanol industry, being a landmark and a technical reference for the sugar and ethanol industry in the world. The event happens in May 10th at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel, in New York.
With the theme “Changing World of Sugar”, one of the objectives of this year’s event will be to position sugar as people’s food and energy source, highlighting its importance in a balanced diet. In addition to showing ethanol’s advantages as advanced biofuel, environmentally correct, generating employment and saving currencies. The lectures will cover the sugar war, discussions about the Brazilian and European markets, as well as commercial relations with the Asian market and the post-Trump challenges of renewable energy.
The conference gathers corporate leaders, traders and authorities for a day of lectures with renowned experts of the sugar-ethanol, financial and logistic industries. Amongst the confirmed lecturers are Jeff Dobrydney, Vice-President at the Jenkins Sugar Group; Michael McDougall, Vice-President at Newedge; Dr. Prasert Tapaneeyangkul, President of the Environmental Engineering Association of Thailand; Helder Gosling, Commercial Director at São Martinho; José Orive, Executive Director at ISO – International Sugar Organization; and Roberta Re, General Director at the World Sugar Research Organization –WSRO.
