Air Transport Action Group : The Global Sustainable Aviation Summit, hosted by ATAG and co-organised by ACI, IATA, CANSO and ICCAIA.
The 2017 Summit will cover a range of sustainability topics for aviation: from how the industry can support the Sustainable Development Goals and the International Year of Tourism for Sustainable Development; how to significantly ramp-up the use of sustainable aviation fuels; exploration of new energy for aircraft; the latest developments in efficiency technology; and how leaders in the industry are preparing for future sustainability challenges.
In addition, there are several workshops to bring together industry, government and civil society groups to discuss: aircraft end-of-life; aviation climate solutions; community and noise developments; wildlife and human trafficking; and a workshop co-organised with the International Civil Aviation Organization on how air travel can help build economic development in countries with special situations (such as least developed countries).
The Summit is the only event in which the main industry associations bring together airlines, airports, air navigation service providers, manufacturers, suppliers, governments, NGOs and environmental groups to discuss aviation and sustainability. READ MORE
