Global Sustainability Standards Conference — May 11, 2016 — Washington, DC

The major annual event for sustainability standards and certification. Over 200 sustainability leaders and experts from business, government, NGOs and academia in Washington DC will come together to explore the role of standards in driving greater positive social and environmental impact.
This year’s theme is “Growing Impacts: Innovation and Evolution” as we discuss and debate how standards systems can harness technological advances, new tools and opportunities for collaboration so that they can evolve, improve impacts and scale up. It will explore how standards can maintain credibility at the core of what they do as they grow in a range of sectors and commodities.
The conference will include:
- Plenaries: global leaders in sustainability standards will present ideas on crucial questions.
- Breakout sessions: in depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities in sustainability standards across three content streams.
- Networking: opportunities to meet, learn from, and share with those working in sustainability internationally at a cocktail reception and refreshment breaks.
