North American Biochar Symposium 2013 October 13-16, 2013 Amherst, MA

Building upon the progress made in previous USBI conferences, the 2013 NorthAmerican Biochar Symposium will be held in exactly one year from today–

October 13-16 at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst

Great care is being taken to address the spectrum of opportunities as the biochar market continues to unfold.

We are particularly hopeful about our pledge to be the first ever CARBON NEUTRAL/NEGATIVE conference and our efforts to provide student and farmer scholarships. It is time for serious soil and climate leadership and action!

Tracks

2013 Symposium will be organized into the following Tracks:

  1. Feedstocks and Technology
  2. Benefits of Biochar
  3. Scales, Sales, and Marketing
  4. Policy and Community Engagement

Additionally, a trade show exhibition is expected to be hosted on campus at the University of Massachusetts. We are actively seeking participation from current biochar producers and technology manufacturers/distributors as well as the many supporting organizations including:

  • Certification bodies
  • Packaging companies
  • Biomass providers
  • Waste Management
  • Compost Companies
  • Brokers
  • Carbon and Eco-system service market organizations
  • and Other vendors for biochar companies     READ MORE
