2017 BDC Fall Symposium — September 19-20, 2017 — Minneapolis, MN
The Fall Symposium is being held in conjunction with a tour of the Green Biologics commercial biobutanol plant in Little Falls, MN on Wednesday morning. This commercial conversion of an corn ethanol plant has been in operation since last fall.
BDC Member Patrick Simms, Global Vice President of Engineering said “Green Biologics personnel are looking forward to hosting BDC members at our recently retrofitted biochemical production facility in Little Falls. The facility formerly operated as a 20MM gpy corn ethanol plant. Following extensive modifications and addition of numerous new unit operations, the facility now produces a combination of n-butanol and acetone biochemicals. The tour will include a walk-through of our lab, control room, mash preparation, fermentation, and distillation areas.” READ MORE and MORE
