European Next Generation Biofuels Webinar November 19, 2012

New European Biofuels Policies   11:00AM ET  Free

In October, the European Commission proposed major changes to their existing biofuels policy. Under the new proposals, the EC will limit edible feedstock-based biofuels to just 5%. Given the EU’s stated aim to build a bio-economy where by 2020, 10% of transport fuel is bio-based, the new policy would appear to have major implications for the future of first generation production and should herald a major push towards supporting next generation biofuels production in Europe.

The full text of the proposal can be found here.

However, even with the strong support of the EC, the development of a European advanced bio-economy still faces serious political challenges. This webinar offers a one hour introduction to some of the obstacles and offers solutions as to how they are likely to be overcome as the EU reaches its 2020 targets.

Over one hour, leading experts on the politics and regulatory issues that face the European Advanced Biofuels sector, will outline their vision for the future of European next generation production and explain the EC and member state regulatory hurdles that must be overcome. Furthermore, this timely, free webinar, will allow you the opportunity to hear The European Commission’s views on what the new policy statement is likely to mean for the existing biofuels industry and future next generation production in Europe.   READ MORE
