Launched by União da Indústria de Cana-de-Açúcar (UNICA) [Union of the Sugarcane Industry] in 2007 and held every two years, the Ethanol Summit is one of the world's main events for renewable energy, particularly ethanol and products derived from sugar cane.

The meeting brings together entrepreneurs, authorities from various governmental levels, researchers, investors, suppliers and academics from Brazil and abroad. Participants attend almost a hundred lectures, presentations, discussions and debates, which take place in large plenary sessions, thematic panels and opening and closing ceremonies, as well as parallel events.

The Ethanol Summit 2017 will be organized by one of the largest congress companies in the world, MCI GROUP. With headquarters in Switzerland, it has already promoted more than 4,500 projects, serving clients around the world. The group employs 1,800 people in more than 60 offices across 31 countries in Europe, America, Asia and the Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa.

The Summit 2017 organization will also count on the participation of Media Link Corporate Communication, a consulting firm run by the former Communication Director of UNICA, Adhemar Altieri, organizer of the 2009, 2011 and 2013 editions of the event when he worked for UNICA. The two companies repeat the successful partnership, which produced the 2015 edition of the Summit and the UNICA Forum 2016.  READ MORE
