US EPA Close to Releasing 2019-20 Biofuel Mandate Volumes
(Platts) The US Environmental Protection Agency is close to releasing its proposal for how much biofuel refiners must blend into the US transportation fuel supply next year, a spokeswoman said Friday.
The policy will include 2019 blending requirements for ethanol and advanced biofuels and 2020 requirements for biodiesel.
“The interagency review process is expected to wrap up next week, which would put the proposed 2019 RVOs rule on track for publication soon thereafter,” the spokeswoman said, referring to required volume obligations. “This schedule keeps EPA on track to meet the November 30 statutory deadline.”
EPA sent its proposal to the White House in mid-May, according to Office of Management and Budget records. The notice did not contain any details from the proposal. READ MORE
