Søren Skou Expects to Order Maersk’s First Carbon Neutral Vessels in Three Years

Just three years from now, A.P. Møller-Maersk plans to place an order for its first carbon neutral vessels as part of the shipping company’s large-scale climate plan ahead of 2050, says Maersk CEO Søren Skou in the podcast “Outrage + Optimism”, which in the most recent episode examines the state of shipping’s climate mitigation efforts.

Maersk has previously pointed out several fuels that could end up being the green solutions of the future. Along the way, this list has included methanol, ethanol and ammonia.
