Presentations from BETO’s 2017 Project Peer Review Now Online
On March 6–9, 2017, BETO hosted its biennial Project Peer Review in Denver, Colorado. During the event, approximately 192 projects in BETO’s research and development (R&D) portfolio were presented to the public and a panel of external subject matter experts. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) hosted the 2017 Project Peer Review on March 6–9, 2017, in Denver, Colorado. During the event, approximately 192 projects in BETO’s research, development, and demonstration portfolio were presented to the public and systematically reviewed by more than 40 external subject matter experts from industry, academia, and federal agencies. The 2017 Project Peer Review included six simultaneous review sessions of projects within the nine technology areas highlighted below:

- Advanced Algal Systems
- Thermochemical Conversion
- Biochemical Conversion
- Waste to Energy
- Analysis and Sustainability
- Demonstration and Market Transformation
- Co-Optimization of Fuels and Engines
- Feedstock-Conversion Interface Consortium.
