Growth Energy, NAAE Partner to Celebrate Ag, Biofuels Education
(Growth Energy/Ethanol Producer Magazine) Sept. 20 is National Teach Ag Day, and Growth Energy is excited to partner with the National Association of Agriculture Educators to show our appreciation for all the ag teachers across the nation. This day is all about recognizing the importance of ag teachers in our schools and communities and encouraging educators to share more with their students about the important role the agricultural industry plays in the United States, including ethanol.
In addition to getting the message out to educators, the celebration is also about encouraging students to consider careers as agricultural educators and to provide resources for them to do so. The Teach Ag website has tons of fun resources and activities that you can use in your celebrations and to help students and teachers you know get involved in ag education.
Whether you’re at home or visiting the nation’s capital, there are tons of ways to get involved. Day-of activities will include capitol rallies, special lessons, and community events. As a fellow educator or supporter, you can help get the word out in your community by putting up a Teach Ag booth on campus, writing thank you letters to ag teachers, submitting an ag teacher recognition editorial to a local paper, and much more. These are just a few of the many ways you can take part and we’ll be highlighting some of the best ways to do so as we get closer to Teach Ag day.
If you have questions about the event or want to find more information about how you can get involved, visit the Teach Ag website here. READ MORE
