4th Annual Clean Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza – February 23, 2018 — College Park, Maryland

Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza at University of Maryland, Friday, February 23rd, 11 am – 8 pm
Join us for our Fourth annual “Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership and Clean Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza,” February 23rd at the University of Maryland – College Park.
Our partner will be the Association of Energy Engineers – National Capital Chapter.
Our theme this year is Cleantech Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
The Association of Energy Engineers – National Capital Chapter (AEE NCC), Association of Energy Engineers – Baltimore Chapter (AEE-Baltimore), and Leaders in Energy are joining forces with the University of Maryland (UMD) for the 4th annual Clean Energy & Sustainability Extravaganza.
Are you interested in cleantech to advance clean energy and sustainable solutions? Cleantech is an umbrella term referring to clean energy, environmental, and sustainable or green products and services. This event will bring together the university and business communities in cleantech. Participants will learn about research and ventures from numerous University of Maryland departments and businesses, including start-ups. They will also hear from women leaders in this field who will be providing their perspectives regarding the industry as well as career advice and tips.

The Extravaganza has three components:
- AEE NCC and AEE-Baltimore Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) Luncheon Panel on “Career Perspectives in CleanTech from Women Leaders” (11:00 am – 1:45 pm).
- Leaders in Energy CleanTech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase (2:30 – 5:30 pm)
- Leaders in Energy Reception (6:00 – 8:00 pm).

The CleanTech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase provide a unique opportunity to connect with professionals in the clean energy and sustainability community, including Leaders in Energy, the Association of Energy Engineers membership, the University of Maryland academic community of professors and students, CleanTech businesses, and others. Students and jobseekers who are interested in the green tech and services field will have the opportunity to engage with others who are working in this area.
